A selection of some great singles released throughout 2020

Released 24th April 2020:

The debut single "Monsters", from Hunting For Wolves, displays heavy riffs, growling bass-lines and a stirring chorus that cleverly changes drum tempo mid-way. The vocals are powerful whilst the melody is incessant and piercing, sculpting a sound that is both fat and multi-layered. The band, hailing from Essex, are embarking on their mission to record a full album, so we shall look forward to more from "Hunting For Wolves"

Hunting For Wolves
The Beatflux

Released 31st March 2020:

The Beatflux have a complicated relationship, but an uncompromisingly raucous debut single! The band is a project created by Muca (based in London) collaborating with Brazil-based rockers Enrico Minelli (vocals), Pereira (bass) and Jean Dolabella (Sepultura, Ego Kill Talent - special guest on drums). Recorded in Brazil and mixed/over-dubbed in London, the single is the first from their up-coming EP which we hope to see in the autumn of 2020. "Bleeding Myself" is a fast-paced grunge/punk song in the vein of Soundgarden/Velvet Revolver/Pearl Jam, that kicks you in the face and yells in your ears! Have it!

Feed The Wolf

Released 25th January 2020:

Feed The Wolf released their debut single "Intrusion" in January, and have given us an energetic little "rock 'n' roll" gem. A short, sharp drum-burst introduces a catchy guitar riff and punchy bass that drive the song along, combined with the snappy, precision drumming. Marina's vocals are tinged with a hint of post-punk playfulness and with these ingredients mixed together we have the perfect recipe to instigate the immediate desire to throw extravagant shapes on the dance-floor, abandoning all sense of decency! But then all of a sudden the song breaks down into a raunchy blues groove, whilst still maintaining it's buoyant energy. The bass and drums keep the groove flowing whilst the guitar adds some dirty licks and solos, and Marina taunts us some more. At a little over two-and-a-half minutes, this song grasps our attention and wrenches us out of our apathy, leaving us eager for more!

The Slow Cooked Bears

Released 10th April 2020:

"Space Odyssey" by The Slow Cooked Bears is a sonic tune that begins with swirling guitar tones and a driving bass line. In an instant we are "GO!" and the drums kick in with a disco beat as the rocket engines fire us into the atmosphere, heading for the stars. The brilliant use of reverb and chorus combined with the e-bow gives us a sci-fi feel to the guitars in the song, which perfectly chime out over the continuous bass and drums. The vocals are very accomplished as James pushes himself, on the journey through the blackness of space, searching the cosmos. Check out their interview with us and be sure to watch the "making of" documentary to get a behind the scenes look.
