Well, we all experienced the craziness of 2020, and no sooner had we updated our website in March, than the lockdowns hit all bands hard! The unsigned/indie scene was shutdown, and bands were forced into limbo, using the internet to try to connect with their audience. Some bands had the luck and/or fore-sight to record new material at the beginning of 2020, so could use the time to produce and polish their masterpieces, whilst others were caught short and had to cancel everything. The dire situation for live music has given all bands and artists a real challenge, but with hope that 2021 will see the release of restrictions, we here at The Uncarved Block have returned from our own hibernation, to bring you reviews, interviews and articles about those bands that made it through the tough times. With some minor cosmetic changes to the website, and a growing archive of content, we hope this year will turn out to be the best yet.
